A Limerick man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening to shoot two people.

The York County Sheriff's Office reports the strange chain of events started at around 5:00 Wednesday evening, when a driver reported a scary encounter with another driver. The man told deputies that a vehicle had passed him on Ossipee Hill Road in Waterboro and then abruptly stopped in the road in front of him. He said the driver, later identified as 32-year-old Andrew Prior, allegedly approached his vehicle aggressively and threatened to shoot him in the head. Prior also allegedly told the man that there was a 'hit' out on him before returning to his own vehicle and driving away.

A few minutes later, Prior allegedly did the same thing to a woman who was pumping gas at the Lakeside Market, before leaving abruptly. Officials say no weapon was ever displayed in either incident, and no one was hurt in the exchanges. Both people notified the sheriff's office to report their encounters.

Deputies began looking for Prior and located him at the Lil' Mart Store in Hollis. A search of his vehicle turned up marijuana, which is a violation of his bail conditions. After an investigation, Prior was arrested and charged with two counts of terrorizing and violation of conditions of release. His bail is set at $1,000 and he's scheduled to make his first court appearance on Friday afternoon.

The York County Sheriff's Office expressed thanks to the two motorists who contacted them about their experiences and provided such accurate descriptions of Prior and his vehicle.
