Kacey Musgraves treated Nashville fans to a superstar surprise during a sold-out hometown stop on her Oh, What a World II Tour on Friday (Oct. 25). Toward the end of her set, the singer brought out pop singer and former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles to duet on her fan favorite song, "Space Cowboy." Press play above to watch!

To deafening roars from the crowd, Musgraves and Styles launched into an intimate, dreamy performance against a backdrop of a glittering galaxy. Per the Tennesseean, Styles explained to the crowd that "Space Cowboy" was one of his personal favorites of Musgraves' songs, going on to profess his admiration for her as an artist and a person.

"As a peer, and someone I like to call a friend, it's always a pleasure, an honor, to share the stage with this lady," Styles said from the stage. "She's made a couple of my favorite albums, and it's an honor to be here tonight with all of you to say congratulations and round off this wonderful tour, and a wonderful year."

Musgraves and Styles have previously toured together; in 2018, she joined the U.S. and Canada leg of his Live on Tour trek. They shared the stage during that run, too, appearing together to perform Shania Twain's 1998 hit, "You're Still the One" (another country song that Styles loves, he said during those shows.)

With the release of "Space Cowboy" and the rest of her seminal 2018 album, Golden Hour, Musgraves' career has seen a meteoric rise, as evidenced by the massive fanbase that routinely sells out tour stop after tour stop. Her Friday evening show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena "broke an attendance record" for a female headliner, the singer announced on Twitter, bringing in 18,373 concertgoers.
