Countdowns & Discounts: Marden’s Gears Up To Close Brewer Store And Open The New Bangor Location
Lovers of discounts and bargains in Eastern Maine are on a countdown, as the days that the Brewer Marden's location stays open grow fewer and fewer, and the date the new Bangor Marden's location's grand opening draws closer and closer.
It was announced last September that the iconic salvage shop would close in the spring of 2026, and a new Bangor store would open on Springer Drive, in the old Burlington Coat Factory location on Springer Drive.

The building on Springer Drive was in quite a bit of disrepair, so the Marden's folks spent the winter months renovating, remodeling, and redecorating the structure.
While it's not quite ready yet, it will be soon, so the people running the Brewer shop have been trying to move as much merchandise as they can so they don't have to move it.
That's good news for shoppers, who have been enjoying additional discounts on items throughout the store. First, it was just a 20% discount, which is nothing to sneeze at.
However, according to the Marden's Brewer Facebook page, this week, the discount is even bigger, as they get ready for the big changeover next month.

Need some new furniture? Maybe you want to stock up on fabric. Or perhaps you want to purchase some flooring. Now would be the time to do it!
"Everything must go! Take an additional 40% off your entire purchase! Help us move across the bridge! We’re opening a new space in Bangor at 229 Springer Drive in March 2026."
The post does note that the 40% discount cannot be used to buy gift cards or to pay the labor costs to install any of the flooring you may purchase at the steeply discounted price. And this sale only applies to the Brewer location.

While Marden's management is still being tight-lipped about the specific day the new Bangor store will be operational, they've stated it will be in March. So it won't be long now.
There's no word yet on what will become of the old location.
As soon as we receive the information about that or an opening date, we will ensure that it is passed along to you.
