Brewer Police arrested a man from Rhode Island Monday, after discovering he was traveling in a stolen vehicle. But that wasn't the only legal infraction the man had committed.

According to the Brewer Police Department:

"Charles Chambers (21 of West Warwick, Rhode Island) was stopped for a traffic violation on State Street in Brewer by Sergeant Zachary Caron on July 10, 2023. Sgt. Caron discovered that Chambers had a suspended driver's license and active bail conditions."

"Sgt. Caron also learned that Chambers had been arrested for his role in a stolen vehicle / high-speed chase by the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office the previous day. Chambers was released from jail and had stolen a nearby vehicle, which was subsequently returned to the owner after the stop."
