One person was injured early Thursday morning after a tractor trailer crashed on the Maine Turnpike in Kennebunk.

The driver was injured and transported to the hospital, said Kennebunk Fire-Rescue.

The crash happened near the Kennebunk and Wells exits on the Maine Turnpike around 4:20 am.

Kennebunk Fire-Rescue said “Crews worked to mitigate fuel and oil spillage.” Traffic in the area was affected. Delays were expected.
