L.L.Bean’s 24-Hour Freeport Store Is Back...And It’s Throwing a Party

Night owls, early birds and anyone who has ever wanted to wander through L.L.Bean at 2 am, this one's for you.

L.L.Bean’s iconic Freeport flagship is going back to 24-hour shopping starting Friday, September 18th, just in time for a six-week Grand Opening celebration running through October 25th.

That’s right: the all-night L.L.Bean tradition is officially back.

"We have thrown away the keys to the place!" founder Leon Leonwood Bean famously said in 1951. Now, those keys can stay right where they are. The newly reimagined flagship store is ready to welcome shoppers around the clock, with plenty of new things to see and do along the way.

The party kicks off September 18th-20th, with a free concert by Kip Moore at Discovery Park. Inside the store, visitors can watch skilled stitchers make Boat and Tote bags, check out a multi-tiered trout pond, supersized stream tank, plus, you can grab a bite at the new 1912 Café and explore the reimagined Custom Shop.

Then it’s on to Heritage Weekend, September 25th-27th, with vintage L.L.Bean finds, a Heritage Roadshow and clothing repair and upcycling.

Fall Festival Weekend, October 2nd-4th brings local makers, music, food and plenty of Freeport fun.

October 16th-18th, it’s time for Pumpkin Festival Weekend, featuring thousands of glowing pumpkins, Hocus Pocus, fall activities and the Camp Sunshine Flannel 5K.

Finally, Home Team Weekend, October 23rd-25th brings a free concert by The Wallflowers and a Boston Red Sox Experience, complete with a Red Sox legend, batting cages, pitching stations and Fenway-style fun.

Six weekends, tons of events and one very big comeback: L.L.Bean is open all night again.
