A Bangor man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash on I-95 in Fairfield.

Kyle Trull, 40, of Bangor, was not wearing a helmet when his motorcycle crashed on the interstate.

Maine State Police Say a Motorcyclist Struck a Guardrail in Fairfield

Maine State Police say the crash happened on the northbound on-ramp to I-95 at mile marker 133 in Fairfield just after 7:00 Saturday night.

When Troopers arrived, they found a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on its side and bystanders who were attempting first aid on the operator.

Officials say the motorcycle had struck a guardrail on the on-ramp, causing Trull to sustain life-threatening injuries.

Police say speed was likely a factor in the crash.

Bangor Maine Motorcyclist Flown to Portland Hospital After Fairfield Crash

He was transported to Maine General Medical Center in Waterville before being flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Immediately after the crash, Trull was listed in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
