For many New England families, summer is not complete without a visit to Funtown Splashtown USA in Saco.

It is one of the best places in Maine to make family memories, isn't it?

Even though it has been decades, we bet you remember the first time you rode the Astrosphere or Excalibur.  Of course you do.  They are two of the most iconic rides in New England, after all.

And like all great amusement parks, Funtown keeps adding new attractions.

How amazing would it be to revisit your childhood by riding classic rides and exploring new ones, without the company of children?

You can!

Funtown's All Grown Up Nights

Taking a cue from other amusement parks like New Hampshire's Story Land, Funtown has been doing 21+ nights for the last few years.

They call them All Grown Up nights, and they give guests a chance to experience the park sans kids.  Guests will be able to ride the rides, play the games, and have something to eat without dealing with other people's bratty kids (because your kids are perfect angels, right?).

During each adult night (scheduled for certain Saturdays in July and August), the park will be open from 7:30 to 11 PM.  This year's adult nights will be on July 13, August 3, and August 24.

Anyone who purchases a ticket for one of the adult nights will need to show proper ID before entering the park.  It is important to remember that bags are not allowed in the park during adult nights, anyone who seems to be under the influence will be asked to leave, and that there is no re-admittance into the park.  Get more details from the Funtown website.

In addition to the adult nights, the park has other special event days.  Plus, on most non-adult night Saturdays, the park will have a fireworks display.  See the full calendar of events HERE.

Funtown will open for the season on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
