Last Friday, I was sitting here in the little office upstairs, chatting with a couple of co-workers about how I just that morning, listed my house for sale. And honestly, it was a pretty funny start. We had only two photos on our listing, and the time of year is all wrong. At least, traditionally speaking....

And I was also talking about my plans for the weekend... how my wife and I were going to finish the photos and stage everything, so that it could be ready to roll out in force on Monday. But late in the day on Friday, I got a call from my realtor asking if we could do a quick showing the next afternoon. Seemed harmless enough.....

Well, then another call came, then a text. and it just went bananas for three days straight. Don't get me wrong, it's a great problem to have, but I was quoted on Friday afternoon as saying it would probably not get much interest, and that we'd likely be pulling it off the market for the winter to finish up some things, and then re-list come spring. Nope.

What ended up happening instead, was we got a full price offer inside of 48 hours. In November. Ha..... When we sold our house in Westbrook to move back here, it sat on the market for over a year, and was an incredibly discouraging process. This was the opposite. We're obviously wicked excited, but terrified as we don't have a new house set up yet. So yeah... We'll be homeless for the holidays!!!

I'll post more as the process goes along, and keep you all in the really boring loop of my personal life. Hahahaha. But seriously, we are very fortunate people to be able to switch houses at the holidays when others can't even afford a place to live. So every time I do get stressed out during the holidays this year, I'll just remember how lucky I am.
