The Bangor Historical Society invites you to join them as they follow the flames of the fire that destroyed a large part of Bangor over 100 years ago. On April 30th, 1911 a spark ignited a small hay shed in downtown Bangor and the rest is history. When the fire was finally knocked down and the smoke cleared on May 1st, over 200 homes, 100 businesses, and 6 churches had burned to nothing.

This guided walking tour takes you to the surviving buildings and tells you about how the city rebuilt, and how the residents coped with the devastation.

The tour begins at 6PM at the Thomas A. Hill House. For tickets and more information visit BangorHistoricalSociety.com
