Even though it's only the end of August, Halloween is going to be here before you know it. Am I ready for summer to be over? Of course not. However, fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. So getting into the Halloween spirit a bit beforehand is not unreasonable.

Kicking off on October 3rd, the Bangor Historical Society will begin doing their Ghostly Walking Tours of Bangor, according to an event on their Facebook page. Folks will gather up at 7:00p.m. at the Thomas Hill House at 159 Union Street, to begin. and for the next couple hours, folks will be strolling about the city, and learning all about spooky things from Bangor's past.

I mean, Bangor does contain the Devil's Half Acre... So we've obviously got a pretty shady past in some ways. Plus, there's so many great stories to share, and things to learn. And who are better experts than the Historical Society?! Plus, add that it'll be at night, in October. That's good, old-fashioned spooky.

You can purchase tickets ahead of time at the Thomas Hill house for $10 a piece, during regular business hours. And if you need more specific details, you can always give the a call at 207-942-1900.

Maybe you should watch a few scary movies between now and then.... you know, just to set the mood.
