Ellsworth Police say a woman stopped by the police department at around 2:00 on the afternoon of December 26th. She said he had threatened to kill her before she fled the residence with her kids, seeking refuge at a friend's house.

As a result of an investigation, 26-year-old Timothy Stanley was arrested, without incident, and charged with domestic violence criminal threatening and domestic assault. A search of the home turned up several weapons, which were removed. Police say additional charges are pending.
