A Lamoine woman is facing charges after being arrested with a large amount of illegal drugs.

Lamoine, Maine Woman Charged With Aggravated Drug Trafficking

Gabrielle Battis, 28, is charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs and violation of conditions of release.

At the time of her arrest,Battis was on pre-conviction bail following her arrest on June 2, 2025 for unlawful trafficking in fentanyl.

Maine Drug Agents Seize Large Amount of Fentanyl in Ellsworth

Her arrest was the result of surveillance outside an Ellsworth business,conducted by Maine Drug Enforcement agents. Authorities allegedly observed activity consistent with drug trafficking.

A vehicle driven by Battis was stopped by drug agents, with help from the Ellsworth Police Department, on Bayside Road in Ellsworth.

Officials searched the vehicle and seized:

  • 10 grams of fentanyl
  • 2 grams of methamphetamine
  • 1 gram of cocaine base
  • .8 grams of cocaine HCL
  • $2,872 in suspected drug proceeds

2 milligrams of fentanyl is considered a lethal dose, so 10 grams has the potential to kill as many as 5,000 people.

Battis was arrested and transported to the Hancock County Jail. No bail was set.
