First get the date into your calendar. Set an alarm in your phone.

The date is Friday September 23rd.

The event is Fill The Grand. It will benefit Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry

Before Friday September 23rd, reach out to co-workers, friends and family to fill you bag.

The bags are to be filled with non-perishable food and all the food collected goes to feed the less fortunate by Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Ellsworth.

On Friday September 23rd between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. drop off your bag of food at The Grand and each bag goes on a seat. Hence, Fill The Grand.

There are 730 seats in The Grand theater so they need much help.

If you would like to make a monetary donation instead that actually is more cost effective, since Loaves & Fishes can purchase needed food from their suppliers at a more competitive price. So each dollar you donate is stretched further.

Picture the enormity of The Grand’s auditorium on Main Street in Downtown Ellsworth being full of much needed food.

A very clever way of bringing attention to the need for help by so many in Hancock County, and also to encourage more of the community to step up and assist in the goal.

Loaves & Fishes’ mission is to assist food insecurity in Hancock County.
