Edinburg Man Charged With Operating Meth Lab For 2nd Time In Nine Months
An Edinburg man who was on probation following the discovery of a meth lab at his home was charged again with the same crime on Tuesday, police said.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, assisting probation officers last week in a search of Eugene Pomeroy's home on Edinburg Road, discovered evidence of a meth-making operation, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said in a Wednesday news release.
Pomeroy, 49, was initially charged on May 4 with a probation violation, but drug agents upgraded that charge Tuesday to aggravated unlawful operation of meth lab.
He was already on probation in connection with the August 2016 discovery of a suspected meth lab at the same home on Edinburg Road.
Pomeroy was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
