A former restaurant in Eddington was heavily damaged by fire overnight.

The Fire Was Reported Early Wednesday Morning

Eddington Fire Chief Ryan Davis says the fire was called in at approximately 1:56 Wednesday morning by a passerby who originally thought a church was on fire. When crews arrived, they found that it was the site of the former Heritage on 9 restaurant. The building was fully involved when firefighters arrived, with the heaviest fire in the bar area.

Fire Damage Was Extensive

The owners were not at the site when fire broke out and no injuries were reported. Davis says between the fire damage on two floors, water damage, and the destruction necessary to fight the fire, the building is likely a total loss.
