A Dysart's tanker truck crashed Monday morning on Interstate 95 in Wells.

The tanker's driver, James Naaykens, 51, of Medway, lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway just before 7 a.m., striking several small trees, according to police.

The Department of Environmental Protection arrived on the scene. The tanker itself was empty, but the truck's fuel tank spilled about 55 gallons of fuel.

Naaykens was not injured.

The accident temporarily closed one southbound lane.
