Two people face charges after drug agents busted a suspected meth lab in Bangor.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency's lab team worked at a residence at 23 Birch Street in Bangor at the scene of a suspected methamphetamine lab. Bangor Police discovered the operation on Thursday, after responding to a house for a disturbance call. Both apartments in the building were evacuated Thursday night, the building was secured, and the lab team began working on Friday morning. A man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident. Police have not released their names.

Aiding the Bangor Police and MDEA were the Department of Environmental Protection and members of the Bangor Fire Department. This is the 29th response by the MDEA lab team this year.
