Downtown Charcuterie Opens Own Place in Bangor … Sort Of
Make no mistake, they are doing business for sure. And they are open. But it is not a storefront.
Meaning you don’t go into the ‘store’ and browse around and see something and say “I’ll buy that”.
You do it all from your phone or computer.
First, the owners of Downtown Charcuterie operated out of Fork & Spoon on Main Street in Bangor before Fork & Spoon stopped serving customers at the end of May and officially closed at the end of June.
But now they have their own location in Downtown Bangor, but not a storefront.
Let’s get to what they do.
Personalized charcuterie boards or boxes for events, parties, functions, snacks all sorts of reasons. B as in beautiful.
And the way it works is you go to their website or Facebook page, and see what is offered, and get in touch with them. They will make what you want for your occasion. You pick it up or it is delivered for your event.
Who doesn't want to attend the event that has those cups on the table?
In talking with the owners of Downtown Charcuterie they told me they are constantly sourcing local farms and food places for fruit and other items. They want to be as Maine as they can be.
Here are Ashley and Alison who own and operate the business, plus at this point work other jobs too.
Prediction. This might take off and they’ll need some help to keep up with the demand.
Ashley started out making charcuterie boards for parties and friends and family and quickly realized she was onto something. Alison came on board because she too has a passion for creating works of art that we can eat.
Welcome to Downtown Charcuterie.
