Dog Owners And Their Pets Will Walk To Fight Cancer

Area dog lovers and their furry friends will take part in a noncompetitive walk next month to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Bark For Life of Greater Bangor will take place at Hollywood Casino Raceway on Saturday, June 13.

Any dog owner who has been affected by cancer can register for the event.

Bark For Life events throughout the country have included a one-mile walk, doggie games, dress up contests, demonstrations, music and food.

Bark For Life follows a similar event held in Orono earlier this month. Relay For Life of Penobscot, which is still accepting donations, raised more than $125,000 for the American Cancer Society.
