Maine State Police Arrest 2 in Dixfield With Drugs and Guns
Two men were arrested after MDEA agents searched a home in Dixfield, seizing drugs and guns.
Two Suspects in the Dixfield Bust are Charged With Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs
Both of the suspects face multiple charges after the April 1, 2025 drug bust:
- Kenneth McCoullum, 33, of Portland is charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and violation of conditional release.
- Joshua Campbell, 38, of Dixfield is charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine and obstruction of government administration.
McCoullum and Campbell were transported to the Oxford County Jail where bail for Campbell was set at $25,000.
Dixfield Suspect Didn't Have an Ankle Monitor He is Required to Wear
The arrests are the result of a two-month-long investigation into the illegal trafficking of drugs from the Dixfield residence of Joshua Campbell. During the investigation, undercover agents were allegedly able to purchase illegal drugs, including crack cocaine, from the home.

At 9:00 Tuesday morning, drug agents executed a search warrant at 57B High Street in Dixfield, where Campbell allegedly tried to physically block law enforcement from entering the home. He was taken into custody and agents began their search.
McCoullum was confronted by law enforcement who allegedly saw him open a second-floor window in an attempt to flee. Officials say he allegedly tossed a firearm he had in his hand before moving away from the window.
Agents confronted McCoullum in a second-floor bathroom where he was allegedly trying to destroy several bags of illegal drugs. McCoullum was taken into custody without further incident.
It was later determined that McCoullum had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Somerset County charging failure to appear in court for drug trafficking and firearm charges with a bail set on the warrant at $100,000 and was also out on bail from previous drug-related charges where he was required to wear an electronic monitoring device, which he was not wearing at the time of his arrest.
Seized in the Search Were Multiple Drugs, Loaded Firearms, and Thousands in Cash
Officials seized approximately 225 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 10 grams of fentanyl, assorted unidentified capsules and pills, three loaded firearms, and $4,350 in drug proceeds.
