Tis the season. More and more lights going up all the time, and more yard figurines and displays too.  2020 isn’t going to get in our way, celebrating the holidays. And hopefully we’ll all find peace and joy and a sense of calm and hope in all the decorated houses and businesses and store fronts.

Next time you’re in Searsport slow down for the Penobscot Marine Museum’s display of wreaths in the window.  All were decorated by local businesses and individuals in Searsport. Beautiful.

The museum along with Carver Memorial Library are also sponsoring a ‘Decorate Searsport’ contest.  All are invited to decorate their homes or decorate cut-outs of town buildings, or digitally decorate historic photos.  Lots of great ways to get involved and decorate Searsport.  This is a community art project that will run Saturday the 18th through New Year’s Day.
