I don't have to tell you that prescription eye glasses are incredibly expensive, and I've been wearing them since I was 26 years-old. I've been through quite a few pair over the years, and I've spent a few grand on seeing clearly. And it breaks my heart to know that some kids go without proper eye wear because the cost is prohibitive. But one country artist is doing something about it.

Darius Rucker has just partnered with Transition Lenses to give struggling kids the gift of sight. Rucker stated on his website, "A lot of the times the kids that take music, they don't even know they need glasses until they're reading music."

Gotta love Darius. And don't forget that Darius Rucker rolls into town for the first big country concert of the summer. He's bringing Rodney Atkins and Jana Kramer along too.
