A strong cold front will settle into the state bringing along strong winds and dangerously cold temperatures.

The National Weather Service is forecasting strong winds paired with dangerously cold temperatures across the state early this week. Tuesday into Wednesday wind chill values will be 20-below in Bangor to 34-below, northward.

Tuesday will feature the strongest winds. Wind gusts could exceed 40 mph in certain areas.

In addition, northern areas could significant blowing and drifting snow Tuesday.
