Convicted Murderer Arrested in Penobscot County on Fugitive Charge

A man convicted of murder in New Mexico was arrested in Enfield, Maine.

Ernesto Valdez was convicted of murder in 2011 and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Police say he left New Mexico after cutting off the ankle bracelet he was required to wear as part of his probation.
