And not just us, but the Town of  Ellsworth is doing just that, and ‘planning ahead.’

Every year Ellsworth holds a toy drive to make sure that every kid has at least something on Christmas morning.  They collect toys and monetary donations.

But last year, as they were attempting to use the monetary donations to purchase toys they encountered empty shelves and out of stock notices.

So this year, they are already underway with the program. One might say they are ‘planning ahead,’

Take a toy, or a monetary donation and drop it off at Ellsworth City Hall.

So even as many parents struggle to deal with inflation and gas prices and just keeping it all together, here’s to making sure that the kids at least get something in less then six months.

Forget the heat and the humidity. Enjoy doing something kind and get in the spirit now. Ho Ho Ho Happy Christmas in July.

Santa sees what your doing. And loves your sense of community. This put you in the mood?  Go ask your spouse about putting up the tree and starting the decorations this weekend.
