Maine Police Seize Illegal Guns And Drugs From A Felon’s Home
A search of a property in Brownfield turned up multiple illegal firearms and over three pounds of illicit drugs.
Maine Police Say the Suspect in a Brownfield Raid is a Convicted Felon
Joey St. Hilaire, 52, of Brownfield was arrested after police searched his home. He's charged with trafficking in Schedule W drugs and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

St. Hilaire Had Been Under Investigation For Several Weeks
St. Hilaire had been the subject of an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms for several weeks. Maine State Police launched the investigation after receiving information that St. Hilaire, who is a convicted felon, had several guns and was distributing illegal drugs throughout York and Oxford Counties.
A Search of the Brownfield Home Netted Firearms and Over 3 Pounds of Illegal Drugs
Troopers searched the suspect's home at 7 Fulcher Lane in Brownfield on Wednesday, September 18th, where they encountered St. Hilaire in his driveway. He was detained without incident while the search warrant was carried out. This initial search warrant was for firearms and ammunition but when police found evidence of illegal drugs, another search warrant was issued to cover illegal drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Seized in that search were:
- A loaded 9mm handgun
- A rifle
- Over 500 rounds of ammunition
Over 3 1/2 pounds of drugs were also seized:
- Fentanyl
- Cocaine
- Methamphetamine
All the drugs were packaged for resale, and accompanied by scales, packaging materials, and over $25,000 in suspect drug proceeds. St. Hilaire was taken to the Oxford County Jail where his bail was set at $75,000.
