More Performances Are Coming to Brewer, Maine
It has been approved! Early this week, the city of Brewer approved of a $265,000 contract to build an amphitheater style venue at the 4-acre Indian Trail Park. As reported by bangordailynews.com, the plan is to add granite seating, stairs, and a paved access ramp.
The Indian Trail Park area has been used for outdoor performances and various events for years, but there are no designated areas for seating nor a stage for production companies or vendors to utilize.
In the past, visitors and viewers would bring their own seating and companies such as Ten Buck Production Company, would have to set up and break down their own portable stage for every performance.
The Amphitheater in Brewer Maine is Looking to be Completed in 2025
The amphitheater style seating being built by a construction company in Veazie is projected to seat 50 to 100 people, and there will be plenty of overflow room on the grass on either side of the constructed seating.
The $265,000 is strictly for the amphitheater type seating and if you have hopes for something additional to do next summer, the project most likely won't be completed until the end of 2025. A constructed stage is in the works and will most likely be added at a later date once the city sees how much the seating and park, are being utilized by the Brewer community and its neighbors.
