Brewer Fire Fighters Come ‘Under Fire’ This Morning

The Day Road in Brewer is now re-opened to traffic following an incident this morning that made fire fighting a little more dicey than usual for first responders.

Brewer Police Captain Chris Martin says they responded to the scene when fire fighters received a call for a vehicle fire that might involve propane.

When fire fighters arrived rounds of amunition that were apparently kept in the truck by its owner started to ignite. No one was hurt and the case remains under investigation. Captain Martin says an electrical problem in the work truck apparently started the fire.
