Brand New SUV Plunges Off Pier In Kennebunkport

The Kennebunkport Fire Department says an SUV rolled off a pier Monday night after the driver got out of the vehicle and left it in gear.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Pier Road.

The 2017 GMC Yukon was left on an incline, and rolled off the pier and into the ocean, Kennebunkport firefighters said on Facebook.

It took crews several hours to fish the vehicle out of the water

Police told WGME no one was hurt in the incident, and the driver is not expected to face charges.
