A Blue Hill man died on Tuesday, while at the polls to cast his vote.

The 78-year-old man reportedly cast his ballot and then suffered a medical incident. The man collapsed and could not be revived. The man's name and cause of death have not been released.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says voting at the town hall was suspended for about an hour while emergency medical personnel attended to the man. When Secretary of State Matt Dunlap heard of the man's death, he tweeted his condolences and said if his vote was cast, it will be counted.
