Biddeford Resident Finds 5-Foot Boa Constrictor On Porch

Biddeford police responded to a home on High St. Tuesday after a 5-foot red-tailed boa constrictor was found on the front porch.

After the snake was captured it was taken to the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk.

Police said the snake is not native to Maine, and it may have escaped its owner's home, or it may have been released by the owner.

The owner of the snake has not come forward.
