Let’s start with a gem, Bangor’s European Market. If you haven’t experienced this Market on Buck Street, check it out.

And bonus this Saturday they are moving outside. The greenhouse is full of beautiful blooming plants and flowers.

But the vendors with the meats and eggs and goat cheese and baked goods are moving outside.

The market is not just food, but the last Saturday I went, there were so many tempting things for breakfast which I hadn’t eaten yet, that I bought bagels and pastries and more. Plus I bought a few other food items which became lunch and dinner that day.
They also have hand made baby gifts. And other home made items.
And surprises too.

European Market on Buck Street in Bangor is open Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Next we go downtown to the Bangor Public Library.
This Saturday between 9 am and Noon at the Library is the Gardeners Plant Swap. It’ll be held in front of the Library Atrium, unless it rains they’ll move it to the Atrium.
But not to worry, that rain isn’t expected until Sunday.
So this being a swap, you’re encouraged to bring your extra plants to swap. And not just plants, but also seedlings, seeds, clippings, houseplants and trees will be swapped.

Picture the swapping of the trees. “Can you help me load this up in the car”
Also on hand at the Library on Saturday, Library staff along with Master Volunteers from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be available to help and to answer any gardening questions you may have.
