Bangor Police have released more details about a crash that closed outer Broadway for most of the morning.

Sergeant Jason McAmbley says police responded around 4 a.m. on Thursday to a report of a two-vehicle crash and determined that a car was entering Broadway from Kenduskeag Avenue and traveled into the path of a pickup. The truck hit the car, resulting in four people being injured. Their names and the extent of their injuries have not been released.

Police believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. So far no charges have been filed.

The area of Outer Broadway between Pushaw Road and the intersection of Broadway and Griffin/Burleigh Road was closed for much of the morning until the crash scene was cleared.

They have since reopened.
