Several people were arrested as the result of a drug bust at a Pine Street residence in Bangor.

Police executed a search warrant at the apartment Monday morning, after an investigation that involved watching the house for several weeks. WVII-TV reports neighbors had complained about a variety of cars making short visits to the residence. A tactical team was used for the operation because police believed the suspects could be armed.

Sherry Bedard, 44. was arrested and charged with aggravated drug trafficking. The charge was elevated because the apartment sits within 1,000 feet of  a school, John Bapst Memorial High School. Jeremy Sigouin, 30, is charged with violation of bail and Craig Pelkey, 50, is charged with illegal possession of hypodermic apparatus. Police say a fourth person in the apartment also may face charges.

This investigation is ongoing.
