Officers responded to Center Street in Bangor on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for a report of someone being attacked with a knife.
Bangor Man Suffered Stab Wounds After an Altercation with a 20-Year-Old Suspect
When the officers arrived, they learned the man had been stabbed in the arm after an altercation and sustained minor injuries.

The victim's name has not been released.
The police officers determined Targon was the alleged assailant, who had left on foot.

On April 13, the police learned where they could find Targon, went to the location, and took him into custody.
Hunter Targon is known to the police, including an incident just over a month ago when he was allegedly found trying to kick down someone's door.
He was told by authorities to leave the premises, but officers found him a short time later trying to gain entry into the apartment, while allegedly threatening the original 911 caller.
Targon faces multiple charges in connection with that incident, as well as this alleged knife assault.
At the last report, Targon remained at the Penobscot County Jail.
