A man from Bangor learned the hard way that when cops say no, they really mean it.

According to Sgt. Jeremy Brock of the Bangor Police Department, it was 3:15 Thursday morning, March 5th, when dispatchers at the police station took a phone call from a concerned resident on Center Street.

The individual stated that someone was trying to kick in the door to their apartment.

When officers from the Bangor Police Department arrived shortly after, they encountered 20-year-old Hunter Targon, whom they determined was the person trying to gain entry into the place. Upon the request of the person in the apartment, the police told Targon to move along and not come back. Sgt. Brock says that while it appeared at first that he was willing to comply with the order, at some point, Targon changed his mind.

"Officers remained on scene for a few minutes after Targon walked off, and noticed that he was returning to the property and used a separate door to gain entry. Officers then observed Targon attempting to get into the same residence and threatening the original caller. Targon physically resisted when officers attempted to take him into custody."

This did not end well for the man who Sgt. Brock says he was out on bail with conditions from a separate incident from earlier in the month, when he also resisted being arrested.
