Downtown Bangor First Friday in July Event Today & Tonight

Today is the day. Tonight is the Night. This afternoon is the afternoon.

The July First Friday event takes place today in Downtown Bangor.

What won’t be happening might be a shorter list.

It’s the Kickoff to Summer, and part of Downtown Bangor First Fridays.

Here is What is Going On

All day long Bangor Beautiful presents The Good Of The Hive Mural in Process.  Check out this art work. It is a pretty amazing project.

There are plenty of participating Downtown Bangor businesses that participate with different events at their stores or places of business.  So, check out the link for all the participants.

Or just go for a stroll and discover.

From 5 p.m. and running into the evening, the Kickoff to Summer Cornhole Tournament will take place at Abbot Square Parking lot on Harlow Street. Cash Prizes and trophies and fun for sure. There are registration fees for teams, and a competitive and a social bracket.
And a beer tent.

Have fun with the Free Photo Booth too.

There is Live Music for the evening as well.

Sounds like fun for all ages.

And bonus, Chris Stapleton and the All American Road Tour is at Maine Savings Amphitheater for the evening, and you might well find a place to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks, outside for the evening.

Plenty of places in downtown Bangor, and for that matter Brewer to do just that and hear the concert.

Saturday is Downtown Bangor Art Festival from 9am to 4 pm. Free to the public, and it includes more than 60 vendors with live music, things for the kids to do, food and more.
