A local man is facing charges in connection with a number of burglaries in Downtown Bangor.

Was It a Local Man Who Was Arrested?

Richard Burrill, 39, is a local transient who is now facing charges for multiple burglaries of downtown Bangor businesses.

How Was He Identified By Police?

Bangor Police say Burrill was identified in connection with these crimes through surveillance videos and was taken into custody on Wednesday. The businesses that were burglarized include Utopia, Bangor Wine and Cheese, and the Butcher the Baker, all of which are on Hammond Street.

What Charges Does He Face?

Burrill is charged with:

  • Theft
  • Trespassing
  • Violation of conditions of release

Officials identified Burrill through surveillance videos and apprehended by Bangor Police Officers on Wednesday.
