Bands for Blood Drive

Local musicians are encouraged to roll up their sleeves this weekend for the "Bands for Blood" donation drive. All it takes is about an hour of your time...and the gift of life!

The blood drive is open to everyone who wants to donate. But local musicians are encouraging anyone who's in a band, plays an instrument, or sings karaoke to take part. Show your support for the local music scene by giving a pint of blood!

This is a tough time of year for the Red Cross. Mainers are thinking about Christmas shopping and preparing for family visits, and aren't thinking about donating blood. Take some time out this weekend and give a gift that could save a life.

The "Bands for Blood" blood drive will be held this Saturday from 8am until 2pm at the Red Cross Blood Donor Center, 900B Hammond Street in Bangor.
