UPDATE: The Augusta Police Department has developed information that Lenore 'Lenny' Wilson is most likely in the company of 26-year-old Fatima L. Gissentaner who goes by the nickname of China.

Augusta Police are seeking the the public's help locating a little girl who went missing from an apartment.

Deputy Chief Jared Mills says at 7 a.m., Augusta firefighters went to an apartment at 26 Sewall Street for a report of a medical emergency. While there, it was discovered that 3-year-old Lenore 'Lenny' Wilson was not at the residence.

A search was launched for the girl while detectives interviewed witnesses. Mills says, at this point, it's suspected that Lenore is with a man or woman who were at the apartment at the time of the medical emergency. However, they haven't been able to identify the person. He says there may be no criminal intent, rather the person may not know the police are looking for the girl.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Lenore or the identity of the person is asked to call the Augusta Police Department at 626-2370.
