Andover Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Airline Passenger

A man from Andover, Maine is accused of sexual assaulting a female passenger while on a Delta Airline flight.

According to newscentermaine, 35-year-old William Pelletier was on a flight from Virginia to Georgia last November when he got into an altercation with a female passenger. Fellow passengers initially reported that a man was being verbally abusive and unruly toward one particular woman.

Court documents say that Pelletier allegedly threw a pretzel bag at the woman shortly before the plane landed. The woman tried to ignore him, but officials say Pelletier allegedly reached around the seat and cupped the woman's breast.

Another passenger on the plane says they witnessed the assault and asked the flight attendant to call police. Pelletier was arrested when he got off the plane at the airport in Atlanta.
