This month, this riverside walking path with dazzle with holiday lights.

Those looking for a fun light peeping experience can head to Orono for a unique holiday light display. A portion of the Stillwater River Trail will be aglow with festive lights throughout December. Organizers say about 500 feet of the trail will feature holiday lights. The lights will be switched on for the first time this season Saturday, December 5, at 4 P.M.

According to the Facebook event page, public parking is available at Browns Beach on Bennoch Rd. in Orono. Once on the trail, take a left to stroll through the magical display. There's no cost for entry, and light peepers are asked to practice social distancing.

Another yearly light display begins this week in Veazie. The annual Hathaway Holiday Lights begins December 2 at the Veazie Community School. The display was moved this year to accommodate social distancing measures. Damage from the over night wind storm delayed the opening night festivities.

Don't forget, we want to see photos of your holiday light displays. It could score you $250.
