One person was injured when a sedan crossed the center line and hit a tractor trailer head-on. State Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in the Wednesday evening crash.

The truck's driver, Robert Leathers called 911 at around 8:41 p.m. to report that a Toyota sedan had crossed the center line and hit his rig on State Route 11 in Masardis. Police say Leathers hit his brakes to try and avoid the crash, when Carla Bragdon's vehicle crossed into the path of his tractor trailer, but the two vehicles hit head-on.

Bragdon had to be extricated from the car and she was taken to a local hospital. Police say it's unknown, at this time, why she crossed the center line prior to the crash, but alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Leathers, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
