When Did She Go Missing?

Laporte had been the subject of a search since she was reported missing by her husband, Paul, on Wednesday. He told authorities with the Knox County Sheriff's Office that he woke up Wednesday morning to find her gone from the house. Assuming she had left on foot, Paul went looking for her after she failed to come home. Finally, he reported her missing to authorities later that day.

Who Found Her?

Her body was discovered by a Maine Game Warden and a search team from the Maine Association for Search and Rescue. They were assisted in the search by multiple agencies.

Our condolences to Francine Laporte's family and friends.
