90’s at Nine Online – Michelle Wright’s ‘Take It Like a Man’ [VIDEO]

The 90's at Nine Online today features a Canadian superstar who hit the American country scene in the 1990's. Michelle Wright never had the success in the States that she had in Canada, but definitely celebrated some hits in the 1990's!

Wright was one of Canada's most recognizable artists of the 1990's. She won the Canadian Country Music Association's Fan's Choice award twice, in 1993 and 1995. Her success in Canada continued after the '90's, as she was inducted into the Canadian Country Hall of Fame in 2011.

She had six number one hits in Canada, including this one, 'Take It Like a Man.' In the U.S., she charted three times in the Top 40. 'Take It Like a Man' hit the highest, landing at #10 on the charts.

While she won many awards in Canada, Michelle only won a single award in the U.S. In 1993, the Academy of Country Music awarded her the Best New Female Vocalist title.
