A teenager is facing a felony charge for allegedly stabbing a juvenile on Main Street in Bangor.

Who Was Arrested?

Aden Zowghi, 18, of Bangor is charged with elevated aggravated assault for an attack that took place Wednesday afternoon.

What Happened?

Sergeant Jason McAmbley says it was around 2:30 when Bangor Police responded to a report of a disturbance near Shaw's Supermarket on Main Street. When the officers got to the scene, they found a juvenile male who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and, at last report, was still hospitalized. His name has not been released.

What Led Police to Zowghi?

A few minutes later, police were able to locate Aden Zowghi, who had allegedly been involved in a verbal altercation with the victim just prior to the attack. He was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
