Worth Seeing at the Movies: Trouble with the Curve

http://youtu.be/OHGelYoHoRM

I don’t know about you, but to me it has been a terrible year for movie dramas, or movies in general. C’mon, if another Marvel superhero movie comes out I’m gonna rip the hair outta my head. And if I see another Pixar flick it’ll be too soon? I’ve had it! Give us substance movie companies! Give us a movie that we can talk about for weeks to come!

Now normally I don’t get too excited about upcoming movies, but when I saw the movie trailer of ‘Trouble with the Curve,’ starring two of my favorite actors, Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams, I started counting the days and checking the movie schedule at the Bangor Mall Cinemas. And the bonus is that the movie also deals with my favorite sport: baseball!

The storyline seems pretty straight forward: The cantankerous and gruff Gus, played by Eastwood, is a baseball scout in his twilight years. With eyesight failing and retirement on the horizon, his estranged daughter, Mickey, played by Adams, leaves her legal job and goes on a scouting trip to help him.

Justin Timberlake and John Goodman rounds out an already great cast. The trailer is worth checking out.

BTW, the release date is September 21.
