A Norway woman was struck by a vehicle during a Freeport flag ladies event on Tuesday.

About 150 people attended the rally in downtown Freeport Tuesday morning.

The Bangor Daily News reports Rhoda O’Leary was crossing School Street in a crosswalk, not far from the event, when she was struck by an SUV.

She was taken to Maine Medical Center in serious condition.

The name of the person who was behind the wheel of the SUV has not been released.

O’Leary is a member of the Patriot Guard Riders motorcycle club.

We’re told she and her husband, John O’Leary, are heavily involved with Wreaths Across America.
