Officials say the victim in a deadly fire overnight in Ashland is likely 60-year old Michael Kelley.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the victim's body was burned beyond recognition. He says the state medical examiner’s office will likely use DNA to positively identify the body.

The fire occurred while his camper was parked next to a house on Main Street.

Investigators are looking at a propane heater and a number of candles inside the camper as possible causes.

It was Maine's 16th fire death of the year.
